Entity map
A human-readable view of our machine-readable entity map (EntityMap v1.0): each entity we describe, the passages that describe it, and the page each passage comes from.
International Money Transfer UK
A directory of the firms that send money abroad from the UK, built from Companies House and Financial Ombudsman Service records and providers' own published statements.
“We are not a bank, a money transfer provider or a currency broker. We do not hold money, we do not make transfers, and we cannot quote you a rate. Nothing on this site is financial advice.”
FCA Financial Services Register
The Financial Conduct Authority's public record of the firms and individuals it authorises or registers.
“The Register shows whether a firm is authorised, what it is permitted to do, and whether that has been restricted or cancelled.”
Mid-Market Rate
The published daily reference exchange rate used to estimate transfer costs. It is a benchmark, not a personalised provider quote.
“The checker estimates a transfer's cost by comparing the recipient payout with what the customer's total spend would have bought at the published daily reference rate. Total spend includes any fee charged on top. A daily reference is a benchmark, not a personalised quote or proof of a provider's exact margin.”
